How to Block Calls with Google Voice

Google Voice comes with a feature that allows you to block incoming calls. They will not know that you blocked their number and will just hear a message saying that the phone number that they are trying to call is no longer in service.

Step 1: log into your Google Voice Account from the website.

Step 2: Go to your settings options by clicking on the icon that looks like a gear. Select “Voice settings.”

Step 3: Click “Contacts.”

Step 4: You now have the option of selecting the contact or contacts that you wish to block. If there is a number you want to block that is not on your contacts list, you must first add them as one of your contacts.

Step 5: You can edit your Google Voice settings for blocking the contact. You can send them straight to your voicemail or have them receive a message that your phone is no longer in service.

Step 6: Be sure to save your settings.

Recap: Your device must be associated with Google Voice in order to perform this function. Now you don’t need to worry about getting bothered by any telemarketers or other unsolicited calls. If you ever wish to unblock your contact, you can go back into your settings and adjust your blocked contacts list. Always remember to save any changes.
