Instagram is known for photo sharing, but it also allows users to share videos between 3 and 15 seconds. If you want to share a video with your Instagram followers, follow these step:
Step 1:
Record a video, either by using the Instagram app on your Android or Apple smartphone or your phones standard video recorder. To record a video using the Instagram app, tap on the button for camera and then tap on the button that looks like a video camera to switch to video. Then press the red video button to record. Tap again to stop.
Note: Be sure to hold the camera steady while you shoot. This will produce a higher quality experience for viewers.
Step 2:
For videos recorded with the Instagram app, press next once you have recorded the video. This will take you to the option to add filters and share.
Step 3:
To use a video saved on your phone, tap the camera button and switch to the video. Tap the box that appears at the bottom of the screen to open the video album on your phone. Choose the video you wish to share. To choose a specific section of video, touch the video strip for the start and use the blue slider to choose the end. Press either 'Add' or the arrow, depending on your operating system, to add the video.
Step 4:
Once you have chosen your video, you can add a filter using the Instagram app. When you are done editing, press share and it will upload to your account.
