How to Add an Event Ticket to Passbook

Passbook is a pre-loaded app on iPhone that allows you to keep track of things like plane and movie tickets, gift cards, and coupons. Once added to the app, Passbook will then alert you to when these things will expire so you don’t lose track of them. You can even scan tickets for events such as concerts, plays, and much more.

Step 1
Adding and event to your Passbook is easy. When you buy a ticket to an event you usually receive a confirmation email. You should open this email on the device your Passbook app is on.

Step 2
If the event supports Passbook, you should see an option to add the event to the Passbook app. Tap on that and the event should be added. You will get a notification about the event when it gets closer to the scheduled date.

Step 3
You can also add events by scanning the QR code on your ticket. When you open your Passbook app you should see an option in the top right that says “Scan Code” – tap on this and then scan the code on your ticket. You event should be added automatically. It should be noted, however, that not all QR codes will be recognized by the Passbook app.

Recap
Passbook is a great way to keep track of your tickets and events. You can easily add your events to the app by scanning the QR code on your ticket or adding it through your event confirmation email. Passbook will then send you a notification when the event date is near so that you do not forget about it.
