Step Down As Owner of a Facebook Brand or Business Page

The process to step down from the ownership of a Facebook brand/business page is simple.

However if you are the only admin of the page, make sure that you make another Facebook user the owner before stepping down.

Here is how you can promote another user as a page Admin, and leave your post as an administrator of a brand/business page.

Note: You can promote any Facebook user the page Admin when he/she is added in your Facebook’s friends’ list.

    ■Sign-in to your Facebook account by providing your login credentials in the appropriate fields.
    ■On the Home window, locate and click the target page from the left pane. (Tech Forum in this demonstration.)

    ■On the page’s interface, click Settings from the top.

    ■On the next interface, click the Page Roles option from the left pane.
    ■From the right pane, in the Type a name or email field, type the person’s name whom you wish to promote as an Admin of the page.
    ■Once this is done, click the Cross icon representing your username to remove yourself from the Admin role.
    ■Click Save to save the changes that you have made.

    ■When prompted, provide your Facebook password and click Submit to continue.

    ■Once done, you can start using the brand page as a standard member.
