Although Facebook allows you to change your login password from the ‘Account Settings’ section of your Facebook profile, the process requires you to sign in to your Facebook account in order to get the task done.

On the other hand, if you ever forget your Facebook password, and there is no way you are able to sign in to your Facebook account, you might want to reset the password. You can reset your Facebook password either using the mobile number with which you have registered with your Facebook account, or you can get it done by accessing the email account that you used while creating your Facebook profile.

Here’s how you can reset your Facebook password via your registered email account using your Android smartphone:

  1. Turn on your Android phone.
  2. Tap the Menu button to go to the apps list.

  3. Locate and tap the Facebook icon.

  4. From the Facebook Sign-In window that appears, tap the Forgot Password? link button.

  5. If prompted, choose a web browser (E.g. Google Chrome) from the Complete action using pop up box.

  6. On the browser’s Facebook page, enter any of your identification methods (email address, phone number, or Facebook username) in the available field, and tap the Search button.

  7. Once you find your account, tap to select the Email a link to: radio button.
  8. Tap the Continue button, and check your registered email for the security code sent by Facebook.com to reset your account password.

  9. Once done, in the next interface that opens up, type the 6-digit code in the available field, and tap the Continue button.

  • 10. From the displayed interface, type and retype a new password in the New Password and Confirm Password fields respectively.

    11. Finally tap the Continue button to sign-in with the new password and start using your Facebook account.
