How to Embed a YouTube Video on Your Phone

To embed a YouTube video on a website, the first thing you need to do is to obtain the embedding code of the target video. Although the task is considerably easy if you are using a laptop PC or a desktop computer, it might be challenging to get the code of the YouTube video while using your Android smartphone.

In order to do this from your Android smartphone, there is a tricky workaround which involves using the Google Chrome app for Android and requesting the desktop version of the YouTube website, and, more specifically, for the particular video that you want to embed to your own site.

Here is how you can obtain the embed code for a particular video from YouTube while using your Android smartphone:

■Turn on your Android phone if it is not powered on.
■Tap the Menu icon to go to the apps list.

Note: if the Android phone opens the mobile version of YouTube by default, tap the Menu icon (icon with the three vertical dots) at the top-right corner of the interface, and check the Request desktop site checkbox from the displayed list.

■On the streaming video interface, tap the Share option.
■Once this is done, tap the Embed option available below the Subscribe button.
■Finally, copy the generated code that is available in the rectangular box (highlighted with blue color).

After you have successfully obtained the embedding code for the target YouTube video, you can place the code on your website using any web development tool of your choice.
