Change the Arrangement of Opened Safari Tabs in iOS 7

This Tutorial addresses:
  • Web Browser
  • iOS
  • Safari
While using Safari (the default web browser app in iOS 7 devices), you might want to change the order of the opened tabs. This manual arrangement of all the opened Safari tabs is important when you want to prioritize the accessibility of all the opened pages in the web browser app.

For example, if you have opened your office’s website or personal email, and your Facebook account on different tabs, you might want to place your email web page on the top, your office’s website below the first tab, and the tab on which your Facebook account is opened at the bottom.

This can be done easily on your iPhone by following a few simple steps explained below:

  1. Turn on your iPhone by long pressing the power button.
  2. Unlock the home screen by sliding your finger on the screen (screen saying slide to unlock) towards right.

  3. Assuming that you opened multiple websites in your Safari browser, tap the View Tabs icon (icon with the two squares) from the bottom-right corner to view all the tabs simultaneously.

  4. Once done, tap and drag the target tab up or down to re-arrange its order on your Safari browser.
Note: In order to rearrange multiple tabs, each tab must be dragged individually.
  5. Finally, tap Done from the bottom-right corner to save the changes.
