How to set a custom Ringtone in Windows Phone 8

Introduction
Often times, phones don't come equipped with appealing ringtones and so in this tutorial, we will be uploading and selecting custom ringtones for our Windows Phone 8 device.

Step 1
Connect your telephone to a computer.

Step 2
Go to my Computer and click on your windows phone device (names vary)

Step 3
Navigate to your phones directory (or SD card (depends where you want to save the ringtone))

Step 4
You should come across a folder titled "Ringtones". We are going to want to drag and drop our selected ringtone{s} (.mp3 format - you can use audacity to edit audio files) into the folder.

Step 5
Go to Settings on your Windows Phone 8 device and click on "ringtones+sounds". Next select the ringtone that you desire.


Choose your custom ringtone

Everything should work fine, remember to use .mp3 formats for ringtones.
