I Want to Exclude Some Cookies from the Delete List in CCleaner

CCleaner is a versatile operating system optimization tool that is precisely designed to be used on Windows platform. Apart from other Windows tuning and optimization features that the program has, it also allows users to remove the unwanted cookies that are automatically stored on the computer if the computer is connected to the Internet and the users surf the web frequently.

Since the Internet is considered to be an unsafe place for both home and production environments, there are several instances when unwanted cookies are automatically downloaded to the computer, and they keep forwarding the personal information of the users to the third-party organizations. The third-party organizations can then use the personal information to advertise their products and send promotional email messages or SMS.

With the help of CCleaner, you can erase the unwanted cookies just with a single mouse click. However, not all cookies are destructive or intrusive. There are some cookies that do no harm to the computers. On the contrary they are present in the computer to increase Internet surfing speed, and the user experience.

While scanning the cookies using CCleaner, you, as an end-user, would definitely want to exclude the harmless cookies from the cookies deletion list. When you exclude such cookies, the excluded ones remain into the system and keep performing the way they should do, whereas the ones that are included in the deletion list are erased instantaneously.
In this tutorial you will learn how you can exclude some cookies from the cookies deletion list with minimal administrative overhead.

Here’s what you need to do:

■Log on to the computer using administrator account.

■Initialize CCleaner application by double-clicking its icon.

■On the opened interface, from the left navigation pane, click to select the Options button.

■From the displayed contextual navigation bar in the center of the interface, click to select the
    Cookies category.

■From the visible Cookies interface in the right, click to select the cookies that you don’t
want to get deleted from the left column under the Cookies to Delete list.

■Once selected, click the --> button present between the two columns to add the selected cookies to the Cookies to Keep list.

    ■If required, restart the browser.

■To be on the safer side, it is recommended that you should restart the computer before you start surfing the web again.
