Just like in Windows, Linux or Mac-based operating systems, android also has a feature with which you can increase or decrease the font size in your device. You might want to change the default size of the fonts on your device and either increase or decrease it in order to make the text clearly visible according to your eyesight.

Increasing or decreasing the font size on your android mobile or tablet does not increase or decrease the performance of the device. Below is the process how you can manage the size of the fonts that your device displays:

  • From the displayed list, tap the Settings icon.

  • From the Settings window, in the left pane, tap the Display option.

  • From the right pane, under the Font section, tap the Font size option.

  • On the opened Font size window, tap to select the appropriate radio button to set the desired font size.

  • Back on the previous window, tap the back button multiple times to come out of the Settings window.

  • Apart from modifying the size of the font that your android device displays on the screen, you can also change the font style as per your individual choice. Here is what you can do to change the default font style:

    • Tap the app drawer icon from the home screen.

    • From the displayed list, tap the Settings icon.

    • From the Settings window, in the left pane, tap the Display option.

    • From the right pane, under the Font section, tap the Font style option.

    • On the opened Font style window, tap to select the appropriate radio button to set the desired font style. Alternatively Get new fonts online button can also be tapped to download other fonts from the Internet that are available for your device.

    • Back on the previous window, tap the back button multiple times to come out of the Settings window.

  • Although android devices do not have very wide range of options from where you can select the font size or font styles, the limited ones that it has can work well with the devices that has small screens such as mobile phones or tablets. If the default available fonts are not satisfactory or up to your mark, you can download any third-party app from the Google Play Store that can help you install and use the fonts other than the default ones that are present in your device.
