Just bought a TCL 50s423 4K TV. There is a hybrid3.5mm 'headphone ' jack out that I can connect to my old Onkyo receiver. Problem is, when connected, it muted the TV speakers. There is no over ride in the TCL manual to stop the TV speaker mute.
I want to be able to use the TV speakers (on 'speech ' setting) AND run audio to my receiver at the same time (receiver speakers provide theatre bass) and to my headphones. I was able to do this with old Viseo TV, it had RCA audio out slots.
note that there is an ARC HDMI connection on the new TV TV, but I am using that HDMI slot.

Question: is there a way to use the open ARC next to the HDMI slot to connect with RCA Jack's to my receiver and headphones? Maybe a converter? If there is a converter, will this work as I desire.
I believe the root issue I have is the cheaping of manufacturing, it cost more and takes more space if they used RCA audio out ports, so instead they put in single 3.5 Jack.

Solution
The problem is that most TVs won't let you turn on the optical OR ARC outputs without turning off the TV speakers in the TV menu. So it using ARC doesn't offer any advantage over using optical.
When you plug into the headphone jack on the TV that usually shuts off the speakers by breaking a ground connection to the speakers in the headphone jack itself. It is possible to bypass that if you can get into the TV and solder a wire across two terminals. Any repair guy should be able to do it.
Using the TV speakers and a soundbar isn't the best way to go since the TV speakers don't just output speech.
Get a better soundbar preferably one with a center dialogue channel.

MERGED QUESTION
Question from rcholden63 : "HDMI/ARC to Optical and RCA converter??"

Is there a HDMI/ARC converter to RCA on the market?
My TCL 50s423 has optical out that I have connected to my old Vizio sound bar. Problem is when I plug in the 3.5mm headphone jack it not only muted the TV speakers but also my sound bar! I need a HDMI/ARC out converter to either Optical and or RCA. This would then let me use the TV speakers set for speech, sound bar for added enhancement, and use my headphones. This is exactly what I had with my old Vizio, which I now miss, it had more input and output connections.
