Hello I have a lenovo Y50. I am not sure this is relevant but the yesterday I accidentally dropped it it was operational for several hours afterwards and then it froze. After it froze I attempted Hard reboot. The screen was on a screen that says Lenovo .... preparing automatic repair And finally once it passes that part it goes into a black screen with a Cursor. I tried Starting it from USB and it would not start it would just go straight to a blue Screen and a Cursor. The only time I can actually get to something that has writing instead of either a black screen with a cursor or a blue screen with a cursor is when I change the settings in the bios to start from legacy with the bootable disk in. It goes into the windows installation screen. I tried Pressing The little link that says repair computer but it would just go into a blue screen with a cursor. Has anyone experienced this and knows how to fix it?

Thanks

Dropped laptop, could be anything from a failed hard drive, knocked around connections on the drive and/or RAM, maybe damage to the motherboard. Start by opening it up, re-seating RAM and drive. If it does not work after that, get another drive for it and try installing Windows clean on that new drive.
