Do you mean what code to enter into the element remote so it can operate the Toshiba DVD?
If the Element TV remote can do this there will be a list of preprogrammed codes in the TV manual. If your DVD isn't listed you can't use the remote with it. Get a Logitech Harmony remote which is programmed, with their app, from their huge online database of IR codes. You can use it with both the TV, DVD, and all your other IR controlled gear.
