Dear friends i have a acer aspire a515-51g laptop which i purchased 9 months back but i couldn't used it much only four times in last nine months last month when i switched on the laptop it didn't start then i plugged the charger it started charging then i used the laptop after charging its fine so i want to know keeping a laptop switched off for long duration causes issues on battery or other components. Please help.

Batteries that sit for a while without being used can end up with issues. Although sitting for a few months should not cause issues with it.

ALL Batteries Will reduce the amount of energy stored in them It is Advised to make sure battery is charged more than 50% to leave it in the state
newer laptops have non removable batteries so we cannot disconnect and connect less often so better to charge them atleast once in 2 to 3 months
