Beginner here, been saving up for my first full frame and am deciding between the A7III and A7RIII.

I plan to shoot wildlife (BIF, small & large animals) and macro (insects & flowers).

Here's why I am stuck on deciding.

The A7III has more autofocus points so that leads me to believe it'd be a better choice and with the savings I could aim to get a nice telephoto lense.

However, I've read that a lot of time for wildlife you end up cropping so that's where the A7RIII is clearly better. Also using it in APS-C for longer reach. And the better EVF.

Originally I was set on the A7III, but now I'm not sure. I've saved and want to buy the right camera the first time since I likely won't upgrade for a few years.

Solution
If you have the budget, get the Sony Alpha 7R III with 42.4 MP, also the IS too, because those will help for your wildlife photography.
For 42.4MP, you can crop a lot, and the photo will still look good.
