Solved! Acer 7735 wont load up bios but isnt frozen. Help.

Solution
Check Acer's website regarding both the CMOS battery and User Manual.

Google "Acer factory reset" to find some "tutorials", videos, etc.. but be very careful. Watch several videos - there just might be the proverbial "Eureka" moment but not all that likely.

Watch out and avoid sites that will claim they can fix the problem. Those sites will show up for almost any problem you present...

Remember we are still trying to identify the problem for the most part. And looking for other viable ideas and options.
Options are becoming limited:

Try a recovery CD/DVD or USB drive.

Factory reset per the User Guide/Manual.

Pull the CMOS battery

Mostly just long shots I think....

That power surge may have caused some physical damage.

Not sure what else to suggest. However someone else may have some additional ideas. Or note some error of omission or commission on my part.

Fine with me.

Thank you, I've tried a windows 10 USB stick I just bought for another laptop until I noticed that one was busted internally.
I never thought of the CMOS battery, will give that a shot now. I dont have the user manual anymore so I am unaware on how to factory reset this model.
