Our tv's are from the 1990's and when they changed to all digital we were out of luck. We bought a small new tv to use the box from Spectrum but how can we use our older tv's for the rest of the family? I heard of Roku but have no idea what that is.

Solution
If your old analog TVs have an AV input (1 Yellow RCA + 2 Red/White RCA jacks) then you can get a Roku Express +
https://www.roku.com/products/roku-express-plus
which can connect to that input. It is possible to use an AV to RF modulator to put the Roku on channel 3 or 4
https://www.amazon.com/Dynex-RF-Modulator-Signal-Converter/dp/B001ANXON6
but that will degrade the picture.
If your TVs are so old that they don't even have AV inputs then they would also be so small that replacement with new or new used TVs would be pretty cheap. Depending on where you live you could scrounge a newer TV than yours when people put their trash out. I picked up a 1 year old 32" TCL Roku TV with remote off the street. Works fine too.

MERGED QUESTION
Question from bthomas24 : "1994 tv digital"

We have old 1990's tv's and when cable went digital we lost our viewing ability. We rented a box for one but can't afford monthly fee for more on top of current bill. I was told that Roku is a way to use our old tv's but it suggests an hdmi connection and our tv's only have a cable connection. Can anyone suggest an idea or help? Thank you.
