Can you take a look and help me with the decision. If you think that there is any better model (in the same price range, feel free to say =) ). So here is my pick:

Yamaha V483 - 394
Denon AVRX 1400H
Yamaha RX- v585
Pioneer VSX- 933

Thank you for your help

Am not salesman nor am in the market for a receiver so all I can offer is generic personal desires...

Assuming all have same number of channels, I'd attracted to the one with the heavier weight, hoping that it comes with a beefier power supply.

Must be able to drive 4 ohms.

I would love a receiver with PRE-OUTS. That allows you to add beefier power amplifier in the future.

All the inputs that you need of course.

Must have individual input gains adjusts. Allows u to adjust input levels on sources so the overall volume stays more or less the same as u switch input. Nothing more annoying than having to fiddle with the volume knob every time one switches input. They don't advertise this feature so u must consult manual.

Love to have me DSP, or auto room correction. Adjust (EQ) your speakers automatically according to your room, just great for lazy people like me. This tends to be an expense-ier want so if your 4 models don't have it, don't worry about it.

Go into a site like amazon, search for your models and see what the reviewers say, dive directly into the bad ones and judge for yourself if what they say matters to you.

Good luck.
