Solved! How do I fix a 'sub fail' error on my amp?

How do I fix a sub fail error on my pioneer vsx-824 av receiver? It was working fine before this and today when I on the amp the error 'sub fail' came on. Ive remove all the speaker and sub wires and even tried to reset the amp but nothing worked. Any idea on how to fix it?

You probably need to replace the sub-woofer itself.

If u removed the subwoofer wires entirely and message still pops up, then am afraid you will have to contact Pioneer see what they suggest. The sub amp stage may have blown.

Could "sub fail" not mean "subwoofer fail"?
Can the receiver be played with the error message? Do all the speakers and sub work if you can?
The receiver has no way to know if the subwoofer itself isn't working unless you have the mic connected.
Check the speaker set up menu to make sure that sub is turned on.
