Would a lav wireless microphone like this here (only the mic itself and wire)

If you bought this and it should have a microphone, first thing I would do is contact the seller or return the item to Amazon.

Aside from that, if you just do a web search for Peavey PV-1 Lavalier Microphone, the first result is https

I lost it while moving to my new apartment. Never even got to use it once! So I am hoping I can find just that part.

Of course I googled. I have been all over the internet, but can't seem to get the technical info that I need.

Amazon sells the item you mentioned but won't ship to where I live. I am left only with the option of trying to find an alternative.

So I think now it all comes down to finding someone who understands audio well to advise me regarding compatibility with other brands.

There is more than just Amazon to order things from, music store that sells mics can probably help you and can probably order the part from Peavey. You just need the same type of connection on the mic to match the inputs, frequency of the receiver has nothing to do with the mic outside of the fact that you need the right mic output for the thing.

Yes I know, but Amazon is the only seller shipping this particular item to North Africa.
Anyway, you just answered my original question. I simply didn't know if physical connector had to match as well as frequency, or if the frequency is something that is only between bodypack and receiver. Thanks.
