I'd like to upgrade my laptop (Lenovo Idepad Y700-15ISK) with an SSD. It currently has the default 1TB HDD in it so I want it to be faster. Can I have windows installed on a new M.2 SSD and still have the HDD for storing games and anything else on it? Because if I can't then I'd have to buy like a 1TB SSD which would be quite expensive.

This depends on IF your laptop can take an m.2 drive, and which TYPE of m.2 drive it can take.
They are not all the same.

It can almost certainly take a 2.5" SATA III SSD in place of your current 1TB HDD.
An m.2 is a whole different story, and we'd need more info.

Yeah I already knew my laptop had a M.2 slot, I just wanted to know if I could install windows on it and have the HDD for storage
