Solved! USB connection problem

I have just brought a Panasonic tv and am trying to connect a Seagate 4tb external drive this worked fine on my old Philips tv but I can get no joy with this (tv has only 1 USB port)

Can't find the USB on the tv menu on ypbyr/VGA.pc/side av/ext 1/HDMI 1 & 2 so I can't format it . Use to work fine on my Philips tv
