I have a Samsung TV with 3 HDMI inputs, one of which is HDMI In (ARC). I have a Samsung sound bar with 1 HDMI in and 1 HDMI Out (ARC). And I have two sources: a DirecTV satellite receiver and a Fire TV Cube. How can I hook up both source devices to the TV and sound bar, with the ability to control the sound bar (on/off and volume) with the TV remote?

Solution
Connect the soundbar to the HDMI-ARC input on the TV. Turn on ARC and AnyNet+ (CEC) in the TV menu.
Connect the sources to the other HDMI inputs on the TV.
That should allow you to use the TV remote as you describe. If it doesn't then a Logitech Harmony remote will control the TV, soundbar, DTV box, and FireTV.
