My HP Pavilion keeps turning on then off

Does it turn on - off automatically or when you turn it on it turns off ?!?
Quick things you could do - take out power cord and power it on with battery
If you know how, and you have the possibility, unscrew the cover and take out a RAM/Memory module, and power it on see what happens. But remember to take out the battery and power cable first before you proceed.
Now if these things don't do much then it might be something else, either your GPU is dead, motherboard, or your power supply.
Maybe try servicing it.
