I have a Lenovo G51 running windows 10, that has been having power issues for a while now. at first the computer refused to stay on when i closed the lid. still will not stay on no matter what settings i seem to change.
but more recently if the battery is is at 56% it stops charging to say plugged in not charging. i have already bought a new battery plugged it in and it started at 100% and in one day of carrying it around and attempting to recharge it, it only went back up to the same %. so 2 betteries will onnly charge to the same percentage? doubtful. so does anyone have any solutions or even ideas as to what i can do?

also yes i beleive the powerchord is fine because i can run the computer for hours without the battery in with the chord and if the battery is dead or ever below the 56% it will start charging up to the 56%

No need to shoot the messenger if you get a response you do not want to hear.

Many people buy supposedly compatible laptop batteries because they are cheaper.
The only "safe" replacement will come from, in this case, Lenovo.

As I listed in the post, it has a new battery already.

Did you seriously downvote people trying to help you? That's classy.
