I am a electronics dummy and your article was very helpful to set my LG TV, however I still did not manage to set ut the Netflix and I am sharing my notebook screen to see movies. The issue is as follows: when I press the Netflix remote control button the tv screen switches to the “LG Content Store screen” and the following messaging appears “content not available/this function is not available”. I then go to LG Contrnt store icon
to search for the Netflix app and the following message appears “acesso internet”. I proceed to the Netflix site, where I can see my user account, I press play and the following message appears “Netflix requirements for HTML 5 and Silverlight. I can not do anything further and I also can not the install the chrome browser. The same does note happen with the remote control Amazon button where everything goes well. Therefore I can only access Netflix when sharing my notebook screen using an HDMI cable. Can you assist me? Regards Jose

Solution
You can't watch Netflix from the TV web browser which is what sounds like you are trying to do when you get that error. You would need to have the Netflix app loaded on the TV. It was pre-loaded on my LG 4k TV, but if you can't get it for yours, it may not be available for your model. Check with LG support about your model.
