Lenovo Y700 black screen

Hello guys,

I have the following problem: This morning I opened my laptop (which was in stand-by mode). When the Lenovo logo appeared on the screen, suddenly the logo had some numbers or letters besides it (was too quick to distinguish it), after that the screen went black. However the fan keeps running, the indicators are on and I am able to change the keyboard backlight. The external monitor does not pick up a signal from the laptop.
After I press the on off button a few seconds the laptop shuts off, However after a few moments the laptop relaunches itself again...
What should I do? Let the battery run empty? Remove the battery (doesnt seem easy with this model)
Thanks

You can try and force the OS to go into recovery mode. You will need to press and hold down the power button as soon as you power up and see the black screen. Do this three times and you should initiate the OS to go into recovery mode whereby you can try and get into Safe Mode or try system restore or repair the OS.

Unfortunately the recovery mode does not start. Have switched it off and on numerous times. Each time I switch off there is a squeaky noise under the numpad... I don't know what lies underneath that but maybe that's the problem

I have the same issue exactly on the same laptop. After a sleep mode my girlfriend used the laptop, it started flickering so she restarted it. Now it turns on, fans and everything but ther display is pitch black. External monitors not recognised as well.

I tried the fixes with the reset button, dischargin the battery, removing the bios battery but nothing helped. I 've tried the fn + f2 and all other combinations. Nothing.

Any help would be apreciated.
