Were my laptop upgrades worth it?

It came with 6GB of DDR4 ram @2400Mhz
An Intel Core I5-8250U
A 1TB Toshiba HDD (A really slow one.)
Nvidia GeForce MX150 (25W)
And Windows 10 Home.
My upgrades were Replacing that really slow HDD with a 480GB Sandisk SSD. (Huge improvement)
Doubling the Ram from 6 to 12.
Also upgrading to windows 10 Pro.
Worth it?
I think It was.

I'm assuming you had two slots fr your ram and one of them was a 4GB and a 2GB out of the box and you decided to add an 8GB DDR4-2400MHz stick of ram and retain the 4GB stick of ram...? You may want to pass on the make and model of your laptop as well as it's SKU. I'm not an advocate of mixing and matching rams for an upgrade. Rather you should've purchased a ram kit and I'm sure you could've gone with a 16GB kit. It might also have an M.2 slot or you could've replaced the ODD with an SSD caddy. and yet retained the HDD for storage.
