I want to use these three components together: laptop with HDMI output, Yamaha YAS-107 sound bar with HDMI in/out, external monitor with HDMI input.
I'd like to connect my laptop to the sound bar with an HDMI cable, then connect the sound bar to an external PC monitor with another HDMI cable. Since the YAS-107 sound bar has HDMI in and out jacks, I'm hoping this will work. Will it?
My goal is to have the sound bar handle audio and the external monitor handle video. I don't own a TV.
