So ive started to use Https Everywhere extention on Google Chrome and its been fantastic. Yet i encounter a serious issue when i log in to Toms Hardware Forums.

When i log into the forums the page keeps reloading and is as if i havent logged at all (top right corner stills shows “sign in/sign-up”). This behavior continuos indefinitely and thus cant really search or anwer/post on the forums while logged in.
I dissabled Toms Hardware on Https Everywhere rulesets (I was a bit surprised to find tomshardware as an option there to be honest) and everything seems to work fine, but i just dont know why this happens and if it is ok to dissable it.

So, to clarify: Toms Hardware’s forums keeps refreshing (as if trying to still log) when i log in with https everywhere rulesets untouched. This doesnt happen in other place but the forums, if i leave https everywhere rulesets untouched i can browse all the webpage fine, incluiding the forums if im not logged in. The problem is when i try to log.

I checked and my google chrome is updated. Any solution? Does anyone has this problem too?

And this behavior is expected? I mean, some other sites are still functioning on http but i've never experienced this constant refreshes when loggin in.

Is it only me or this is a expected behavior caused by https everywhere? Does anyone else has this issue?

The stuttering may also be caused by any ad blockers or privacy protectors that you have. We're currently using a 3-rd party system (Auth0) to support our accounts. I would try white listing Auth0, m.bestofmeda (that's our CSS provider) and img.purch on any blockers you have to see if that works.

I do have uBlock Origin, but nothing happens when i deactivate it. The problem persists and only when i log in in the forums. The only thing that works is when i dissable TomsHardware in Https Everywhere Rulesets.

I cant be alone here, someone must have this problem too.

We haven't gotten reports specifically about the stuttering, and it's being caused by the HTTPS Everywhere extension, my suggestion would be to disable the extension for the time being.

We are working towards getting the forums on to HTTPS, so this suggestion is a temporary workaround until then.

I know that. The extention is meant to "force" the site to go https IF THEY SUPPORT IT, else it would continue to show the site on http.

This doesnt solve my problem:

Toms Hardware’s forums keeps refreshing (as if trying to still log) when i log in with https everywhere rulesets untouched. This doesnt happen in other place but the forums, if i leave https everywhere rulesets untouched i can browse all the webpage fine, incluiding the forums if im not logged in. The problem is when i try to log.

I thought that extention was known, yet it seems it isnt. Here it is for people to see it: Https Everywhere

i thought it was a known issue or maybe someone else had this problem, maybe i was doing something wrong or something. I was just looking if maybe anyone had that same issue with that same extention with this forum.
