Using Office 2007 (which is no longer supported)

I know there are new versions of Office but my laptop just died and I had to get a new one. I tried to install my Office 2007. I have the disk and the key but when I try to download I get an error message saying "support for the product you are trying to download has ended. Please refer back to the main page for a list of supported products."

I don't want to buy a newer version when my old version works perfectly. Can anyone help with a way to download?

Thanks

You may be out of luck...

You might consider Office 365. Subscription based and you are allowed 5 (five) installations.

About $120 (US) per year. Monthly or less expensive annual payments.

Look at the link "Chose your Office".

I have been using the subscription based version for over two years or so. 5 installs, amongst the family.

There are free office like applications available: e.g., Libre Office.

Just a matter of what trade-offs you are willing to make.

Did not (and still do not) like the concept of software as a service.

However, it has worked out well and has been relatively pain free.

I get that I can buy a the 365 but the 2007 worked perfectly on my old laptop which was also Windows 10. However, I think it was installed before the Windows 10 updates.
