Which budget laptop to pick?

Is the difference between these laptops worth $180 for a casual gamer?

ASUS ROG STRIX GL703VM
laptop A) GC031T • Intel Core i5 7300HQ, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB GDDR5, SSHD 1TB
laptop B) GC050T • Intel Core i7 7700HQ, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB GDDR5, SSD 128GB + HDD 1TB 7200 rpm

I haven't really discovered many games as I haven't had a proper device, so I cannot say exactly which games I'd play. Aside from gaming I need a laptop for video editing programs and programming. I don't have enough knowledge myself, it would be helpful if you could tell me how much difference the upgrade from laptop A to laptop B would make in gaming in general, how much the FPS increase could be. I don't know when I'll be able to upgrade to another one, so it should last a while.

The 7700HQ is a stronger CPU, 4 cores / 8 threads, 2.8GHz base clock
vs
7300HQ, 4 core/ 4 threads 2.5GHz base.

The 6GB 1060 is much stronger GPU (between 10-20% depending on the task, generally)

While an SSD is nice, at 128GB it's going to be a little more difficult to manage space. An SSHD is a middle-ground, less maintenance required, but the SSD portion of it is minimal, so there's limited gains to be had..... and IIRC, when the SSD portion isnt in use, most are still 5400rpm...

For editing & programming, the added cores/threads will likely be beneficial, as will the enhanced clock speed, SSD and stronger GPU (depending on the application used)

Whether it's "worth" +$180 will depend on the baseline.
Is it $180 more performance if the base laptop is $1,000 (ie +18%).... yes, I would say so.

Is it $180 more performance if the base laptop is $400 (ie +45%),.... no, I'd say probably not.
