So recently I sent in my laptop for repair because when charging and playing games, I would have massive FPS drops. They sent it back with a replaced motherboard and updated bios. The problem still occurs, and I wonder if the problem could be my charger?
-Specs
Intel i5-8250
MX150
8 go ddr3
(Not cpu throttling, it is gpu throttling)
-
Tried: Configuring settings
Cooling
Sent in for Repair
Is it the charger?
Drivers and up to date

Solution
In the BIOS setup go to the "performance" might be something different on your laptop and disable Intel speed step. Laptops are designed to maximize battery life and they do it by compromising all of the components to save power (performance) including the CPU. This drops performance. Just a thought.
