I'm thinking of buying the ASUS ZENBOOK UX430UA-PURE14

All I need is a pc for studying and I think it looks slick. But what I don't know if can render vegas pro movies, or reliably stream video from the internet.

Quick specs
Intel® Core™ i3-7100U Processor
8 GB RAM
256 GB SSD
14" FullHD
Intel® HD graphics 620

Other questions, would a i5 8250u maybe cut it with 4 GB of ram. Or is the ram very crucial?

I also considered the Acer Swift 3 14"

Quick specs:
Intel® Core™ i5-8250U processor
4 GB DDR4 RAM
256 GB SSD
Intel UHD Graphics 620

This has a lot stronger CPU and is cheaper, but falls behind on ram... What do you guys think?

Solution
In most cases, ram can easily be upgraded unless it is soldered. Even so if it is 4gb there is most likely an open slot for upgrade
The CPU is important when it comes to programs like Sony Vegas and Premiere Pro. It would be more important since it can't be upgraded later but the ram can be purchased later if needed.
An extra 4gb ram module is around 30-40 dollars so it is an easy fix if it is not enough

Go for the i5 as buying extra RAM is normally cheaper than getting it included with the laptop.

You have to remember that these CPUs will normally share system ram with the integrated GPU, so performance can drop.
