My Acer Nitro AN515-51 was bought new about a year ago, and since then it's had very minimal issues. Recently, however, it's been going to sleep/shutting off completely after seconds of inactivity. All my settings indicate that it should go to sleep on battery power after an hour, and go to sleep plugged in after two hours. I checked my CPU temps and they are normal, around 15 to 20 degrees Celsius, and my GPU temps are 60 to 70 degrees Celsius on low workload and 80 to 90 degrees when gaming, but it doesn't go to sleep when I'm actively using it. Is there an issue with the battery or screen that I should be aware of? Is it a software problem? Thanks

Had you not checked your temps I'd usually think this was a heating issue, but I'd check your event viewer and see if there's something noteworthy the exact time it chooses to shut off. It's really weird that it does it during inactivity; I'm assuming you've already scouted out your power saving/sleep settings as the culprit?

Yeah I've checked power/sleep settings, I'll check event viewer as well, thanks.

I'm starting to suspect that as well, it does this regardless of whether it is plugged in, unfortunately.

My Acer Nitro AN515-51 doe the same thing, most often when plugged in. Checked all the sleep/power mode settings, battery is fine. The laptop is only about 5 months old.
