My pioneer receiver is about thirty years old. However it works like new. My problem is I want to hook it up to my Samsung Television. The television is about two to three years old. I want to hook my receiver to the receiver for more sound. Can you help?

Solution
If your TV has a headphone jack then you can connect that to the receiver. You just need a cable with 3.5mm stereo plug at the TV end and two RCA plugs at the receiver end. Any input expect phono is fine to use.
If your TV has either coax or optical digital audio (this is the most common) you will need an analog to digital converter. Check the TV manual on how to configure and use it. You won't be able to control the volume with the TV remote.
