Bought a HP laptop for christmas, now the screen is glitching most of the time

So basically, in July, I tried to clean my screen with a glass cleaner like an idiot, and it completely started screwing up, making patterns and only working as it used to if I hit it. I'm most likely screwed due to replacement screens and their parts costing $175-$400. Here's a video showing what happens usually.

(note: that video is a compilation of some of the screens I've seen)

Found a nasty surprise and the area where the damage was concentrated, which appear to be the main connector of the video cables

[strike]How much do those alone cost?[/strike]

Nevermind, it seems to be the inverter cable that is damaged. I'm screwed. :(
