Hi everyone.

I have an Assus laptop with the motherboard K53SV that I bought around 6 years ago. In the last months the computer crashes when I am playing certain videogames but this did not happen before. I noticed that the GPU temperatures are a bit too high when I am gaming and I think this could be one of the problems. I've seen a few methods to refrigerate the computer but I don't know which one could be more effective. For this it is better to buy a laptop cooling pad or an USB metal laptop cooler fan?

Thank you in advance.

Solution
Have you tried first to clean out the interior of dust and debris and see if that helps? If not, you may try changing the thermal paste to see if this helps. Also, check to make sure the fans are functioning correctly and the vents are clear.
