Yeah something is wrong either from hdd or windows, if the hdd is 5400 rpm it might be that cause.
Go to process tab and set hdd activity (not sure how to call it , im win7) pointing arrow down, and take screenshot again.
Seems like windoss update, cause you installed it fresh.

If it is windows update, go to settings and let it download and install all updates.

Seems fine now, does it feel snappy?

As I remember from linus video, he mentioned " Lets wait till windows settles down."

No, the last screenshot says local service, you need to expand it (double click) to show up which services eats up your hdd speed, which i guess would be windows update and defender.

Sorry for the down vote. It was a mistake.

I just restarted my laptop and it took 15 mins to boot up and I'm having a hard time opening browser or any file. It's very slow and laggy.

Even the task manager doesn't respond.

Install windows 7 and see if it makes difference, if you have copy.

But why is my laptop taking 10 minutes to boot up? It is stuck at Acer logo for 10 minutes and then continues on to windows. I dont think this is a windows issue.

You said that it had endless os installed, after that it started to be slow, there is something, either bad or corrupted installation of windows, you had an error and unable to update windows. Download copy again and reinstall.

I have a windows 10 flash and i use it to install OS on multiple devices and I've never had an issue related to it until now.

Although i've installed windows 10 on my new laptop multilpes times, it has the same problem.
