Can connect antenna to a non smart Vizio tv

A
"Smart" refers to the TV being able to stream over the internet, Has nothing to do with over the air or cable TV.
If your TV has an F connector antenna input then connect your antenna to that and follow the TV instructions.
If your TV doesn't have that input then it doesn't have a tuner built in. You can buy an external ATSC tuner with HDMI output.
If it doesn't have an HDMI out it is a converter box for old SD TVs and you won't get an HD picture.
