Definitely something portable - I will be using this mainly for school, with casual/light gaming on the side.

Mainly web browsing, document editing/powerpoint creation. Mainly school-related tasks and leisure activities (such as watching netflix/youtube).

Any brand is fine, I don't have any preferences.

13. What country do you live in?

United States.

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.

I mainly need something that has good battery life, good life overall (can last 4 years or more), can handle light gaming and school work.

How light gaming are you talking about? Many laptops now don't have an optical drive, but you can get an external one if you want.

This is pretty nice, small, light, modern specs not too expensive for a more premium system https://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Slim-i5-8250U-Processor-Fingerprint-UX330UA-AH55/dp/B075N1YHVK Not really good for games outside of may things like LOL, CSGO on lower settings.

This has a better video card, may be better for you https://www.amazon.com/VivoBook-i7-8550U-GeForce-NanoEdge-Display/dp/B07B7VFTN9/ref=dp_ob_title_ce

Keep in mind the more powerful the video card, the less battery life you will have.
