Everytime I boot my laptop, I get the error message 'The application was unable to start correctly. (0xc0000022)' related to 'AvastUI.exe' When I run it manually as an administrator it works, but when I set it to launch as an administrator in compatibility options, it doesnt work. How do I fix this? I get the same message for AvLaunch.exe.

I've tried
- Adding AvastUI.exe to Avast exceptions list.
- Reinstalling
- Reinstalling in safe mode
- Enabling directplay in windows features.

I've added C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Avast\AvastUI.exe to the exceptions list in Avast. Didn't work :(

I've tried it. Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations. :( Thanks for your reply though!

Are you running any other AV on your system by chance? If so, having two active scanners on at once can create issues. If that's not the case, and you indeed have admin access on your machine, have you tried an Online Repair? A reinstall should, in essence, perform the same function but it's another troubleshooting step you can try (Control Panel -> Programs -> Select Avast and click Change -> Online Repair)

The only other AV im running is Windows Defender, which I have disabled. I've tried running the built-in repair tool, but no succes. Sorry for the late reply.
