I have a DVD player that has the three cables red yellow and white. The back of my Roku smart TV only has the yellow and white. When I go menu all it says is no signal, is it on? From the menu I haven't choose the picture with the plug ins. How can I fix this

Solution
AV should be the one, so that is likely the right one. ok so possible the dvd player needs to be set as well. does the dvd player have an hdmi or coax output? it might be set to one of them instead of the AV outputs.

you may have to hook it to the tv using a coax or hdmi to be able to see that menu and change the settings if needed.coax output usually was active no matter what so that would be the best one to use to test the theory.

Red, yellow and white

Red and white is for audio
And yellow is for video

The red is not necessarily important for the tv
Just use the yellow and white only its fine

you need to change the input on the tv to the rca inputs you are using. there should be an "input" or "source" button on the remote that will let you select the right input to see the dvd player.

if you can't find the button on the remote or otherwise still confused, please list the model of the tv so we can look up the manual and help you out :)

there are many many models of tv's we need a specific model number. usually there is a label on the back of the tv with the serial number and model listed. we don't need the serial but i do need to model # so i can look up the tv and see what it has and how to enable it.
