Home theatre to PC speaker problem

This question has probably been posted as many times as days I've been alive but I just can't find a good answer anywhere so here goes...

I have a samsung J5500K home theatre system hooked up to my PC and only the front 2 speakers are playing

All the speakers play in the sound test on the TV
And I've fiddled with just about all the settings I could find, still nothing I connected the DVD player to my pc with aux and HDMI (HDMI says it's not plugged in even though I have AMD digital display audio drivers)(I don't even know if those are the right drivers and if not I haven't the slightest idea where to get the right ones))
I also tried adjusting the settings on my regular realtek drivers wich did the trick on my previous LG setup

I've Googled this issue hundreds of times and all I get is either laptop related or some bull about sound bars or people having troubles with their TVs

P.S sorry if this sounds like a rant but I am getting frustrated at my lack of success in this issue

Solution
I would also note that the HDMI port on the back of your Home Theater is output only as well (users manual pg. 7). The Aux input will only give you stereo sound. If you have an Optical audio output on your PC, you should be able to use that (users manual pg. 13).
