For a while now my speakers on my monitor have been bugging out and having super distorted sounds especially with bass and loud sounds. I have no idea if my speakers are busted or what can someone identify it for me?

Here's what it sounds like messed up: https://vocaroo.com/i/s1AqnrCtcDsv

Here's what it's supposed to sound like: https://vocaroo.com/i/s1xE4whe3Z2R

Any ideas folks?

If the sound is fine through desktop speakers, then the monitor speakers are faulty.

Speakers on LCD monitors are generally inadequate anyway (and that's being polite) so I don't even use mine, never have. Don't know why they bother fitting them -- same applies to most speakers on a modern TV - - - there just isn't enough space to fit decent sounding ones.

Yea, I figured they were faulty but do you have any idea whats faulty about them? Perhaps I can fix it? By the way they sounded just fine when they first came.
