Hi there guys. I have a lenovo y50-70, and it has the combo input. I am using as a main headset a razer kraken 7.1 v2, that has an usb. Recently bought a studio mic with a 3.5mm jack with 2 rings on it. When i try to connect it, it doesnt show up. I have an usb adapter, but all my usb ports are used, and i dont want to use a usb hub. Any ideas how to use it with the combo input?

If it is just a mic alone, it should still work with the combo port. Unless it is a cheap port (not shocking and very common) or there is a problem with the it. Have you checked in "Control Panel" to make sure that the mic indeed shows up as there? To check go to "Control Panel" then "Sound" and click on the "Recording" tab. If the mic doesn't show when it is plugged in, try right clicking on the white background of that window and make sure that disabled device and disconnected devices are set to show as well. It could show up in either of those.

Should this not work, then your only options would be either to have the 3.5mm port replaced (if possible) or to use a USB hub.
