Single jack input - Microphone issues

Hey there, so I've recently bought a Logitech G231 Prodigy, but I'm having a trouble. My laptop has a single jack input like most of the new laptops, and the headset also has one male-jack(Analog 4 poles 3.5mm plug). The package contains a Mic & stereo Y-splitter cable (which is for computers that have two jack inputs), means I've nothing to do with it.So the headset works fine, the sound I get is pretty good but my microphone is too quiet. It works, but it is so low on sound you know. When I use the Y-splitter and connect the microphone-only through the same single-jack input, it works pretty good but not with the single 4 poles plug.Anyways, I don't want to buy those cheap adapters which f*cks up with the sound quality, and looking for another solution.Especially by those who own the same headset and got a solution to fix this. Thanks in advance
