I've already tried removing the battery and purchased a new power cord. Thanks.

Found an older similar post from another person but all my previous posts seem to be gone.

Just to be clear, you booted it with the battery out and the charger plugged in, correct? Are you getting any indication that it is receiving power at all - lights, beeps, fan kicking on?

A couple of things to try:
1. Unplug the power cable, remove the battery, and hold down the power button for 20 seconds. Put the battery back first, then the charger, and finally try to boot it up again.
2. Make sure that the power cable you bought is rated for your laptop. They have very specific voltage requirements.

Can you boot it without the battery in? If it is not the power cord, then I think it has to be the battery or the plug. Did you make any big changes to it recently- i.e. modifications or damage?

It will not boot with the battery out. So the next thing might be the battery or plug itself? I don't recall if any major changes or routine updates happened. One morning it was blank screen and powerless. I don't know why or how.
