I have an Alienware R3 and whenever it is connected to an external display it makes a device connected 'binging' noise sporadically for the entire time it is connected. I have tried through HDMI and DisplayPort and the noise remains through both.
I was just wondering what was causing this noise and how to stop it as it is highly annoying, especially as I leave it connected to a display most of the time.
