I need a laptop to read and write PDF and to watch video.

Currently have an Acer Aspire E15, but I've gone through five of them in a year - keep having to exchange because of failing hinges.

I've been going through heck with an Acer Aspire E 15 since last June. I've had five of them - all had bad hinges. I'm on the 5th, it arrived last Saturday, and already the hinges are clicking, about to fail.

I am going to return this and go away from ACER. Would like the following:

Touch, SSD, 15.6" screen, Backlit keyboard, wifi ac

The ACER has an i5 8th gen, but I don't think I need that. I mainly read and edit PDF files and watch videos.

I'd like to spend as little as possible. The Acer was $600.

Yup, my bad. I thought I had posted the first under an old account I didn't want to use. Not sure why, but the account name shows different for me than the name on the post.

In fact, I just noticed that I was logged in under one account, but it changed to the other account name.

I wish you could merge it the other way because the title of the first post doesn't say need help choosing laptop. The second post title also needs an edit.
